Toshie’s
Community Cafe
What’s it all about
Toshie’s is a newly opened community café, located in the west end of the city, operated by The Courtyard Pantry Enterprise (CPE). Their key aim is to address the harmful effects of poverty by creating well paid, secure jobs.
Toshie’s are also committed to providing the local community with good quality and low-cost food and drink. Here, you can find an ever-changing menu of home cooked goods, often for £5.00 or under. If it’s more of a thirst you’ve got, you can enjoy a delicious coffee, with beans roasted by Glasgow’s very own The Espresso Shop. Toshie’s also seek to reduce waste and minimise their impact on the environment. With that in mind, for those who bring your own cup, you even get 2 stamps on your loyalty card!
‘The ‘Grounds for Recycling’ campaign really resonated with us due to its focus on sustainability, cycling and coffee! We are passionate about reducing our impact on our environment, through the distribution of surplus food, our use of our electric cargo bikes to transport goods across the northwest of the city, and through our innovative recycling processes. Quite simply, this project ticks all our boxes!’
– Dale Todd, Managing Director, The Courtyard Pantry
