SWG3
Multi-disciplinary arts space with cafe
What’s it all about
SWG3 is one of Scotland’s most distinctive independent venues. Formerly a galvanizers’ yard and a clutch of warehouses servicing the Clyde, it’s now a collection of atmospheric spaces alive with art, design, music, fashion, food, shopping and nightlife.
Overlooking the Galvanizers Yard, the Acid Bar is SWG3’s on-site cafe, restaurant, bar and gallery space. A daytime spot for meetings, great coffees, and people-watching, it’s also home to a rotating constellation of residencies from some of Glasgow’s finest cutting-edge restaurants. Talking of coffee, the SWG3 arches are home to Glasgow coffee roaster, Papercup’s roastery. While you’re down there, why not pop in to say hello and take in the sweet smell of freshly roasting beans.
‘At SWG3, we’ve started to redirect our coffee waste from landfill into our new garden and growing space. We’re therefore thrilled to be a part of this wider initiative for Glasgow, working alongside other businesses to make lasting change.’
– Alison Fullerton, Strategic Impact Lead, SWG3
