What’s it all about
The Kelvinhall Leisure Centre Café is located near Kelvingrove Park in Glasgow’s West End. The leisure centre itself boasts a range of facilities and activities, including gym, soft play, clip ‘n climb, table tennis and badminton courts.
Their Healthy Living Award certified café offers a range of meals, snacks and drinks and is the ideal stop off point for cyclists going through Kelvingrove Park or taking a turn on the Clyde cycleway. It is also a short distance from Bike for Good on Haugh Road. By way of refreshments, you’ll find freshly made sandwiches, cakes, smoothies and plenty of speciality coffees to keep you fully caffeinated.
‘We’re supporting this campaign because we are aware of the waste created by our industry and are keen to embrace any improvements that positively impact the environment. This campaign is perfect as it will reduce our waste and contribute to growing plants in a carbon negative solution.
As a catering partner of the UCI Cycling World Championships, we are committed to providing sustainable services. Having large-scale venues like The Emirates Arena and Kelvingrove Art Gallery among the venues taking part in Grounds for Recycling is a step in the right direction.’
