What’s it all about
Emirates Arena is located in the East End of Glasgow near Celtic Park. The arena houses the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome and has played host to numerous sporting events, including the UCI Track Cycling World Championships, the Davis Cup, Billy Jean King Cup, and the Commonwealth Games.
The Healthy Living Award certified café offers a range of refreshments, including freshly made sandwiches and cakes. It’s also the ideal refuel point for active people in need of an extra energy boost, offering homemade protein bars, smoothies, and of course, coffee!
‘We’re supporting this campaign because we are aware of the waste created by our industry and are keen to embrace any improvements that positively impact the environment. This campaign is perfect as it will reduce our waste and contribute to growing plants in a carbon negative solution.
As a catering partner of the UCI Cycling World Championships, we are committed to providing sustainable services. Having large-scale venues like The Emirates Arena and Kelvingrove Art Gallery among the venues taking part in Grounds for Recycling is a step in the right direction.’
