What’s it all about
If there’s one thing the Italians love, it’s their coffee!
Celentano’s is an Italian-inspired restaurant brought to us by husband-and-wife team Dean and Anna Parker, and built from a passion of sharing good food, coffee and drinks with family and friends. They offer coffee roasted in the UK, alongside comforting dishes made with the best seasonal ingredients from local and artisan producers.
Celentano’s menus are all built around a strong selection of in-house crafted foods, including bread, pasta, salumi, and even some cheeses. With Dean Parker’s technical skills, and the team’s passion for championing fresh, organic produce, as well as casual but friendly and knowledgeable service, this restaurant gained a Michelin Bib Gourmand within 6 months of opening, which it has retained for 2023. Celentano’s has quickly become a city favourite.
‘Ground for Recycling was a campaign we wanted to be involved in. The issue of the mass amount of coffee waste is something that was already on our radar and we had already been chatting to our team about coming up with different ideas on how to reduce our waste. I think it would be amazing to see how much we can reduce the waste in just a few weeks over the campaign period, and then encourage businesses and the public to continue to be more mindful as they will be better educated.’
